SightPlan Streamlines Maintenance Access Control with SmartRent

We’re excited to work with SmartRent to deliver on the promise of technology for our industry. When we can reduce risk for owners, increase efficiencies for operators and deliver a better resident experience we know our customers will be thrilled.
– said Joseph Westlake, SightPlan President.

SightPlan, a leader in multifamily service management, today announced a partnership with smart home automation platform, SmartRent, to integrate electronic access control into SightPlan’s OperationsSuite.

SightPlan’s solutions streamline maintenance, communications and service operations for multifamily owners and operators to improve resident satisfaction and preserve asset value. Through the partnership with SmartRent, maintenance team members gain the benefit of convenient, keyless entry into apartment units when service is requested. Maintenance team members can obtain a temporary access pin when servicing a maintenance request or inspection through SightPlan Mobile. These new capabilities reduce time to service while improving security and resident satisfaction.

The overall combination of SightPlan’s best-in-class operation solutions with SmartRent’s industry-leading smart home technology enables owners and operators to maximize their technology investments and exceed resident expectations in an increasingly competitive rental market, all while reducing costs. Both companies received strategic investments this year from RET Ventures, the first industry-backed early stage venture fund focused on technology for multifamily and single-family rental industries.

“We believe SightPlan’s incredible platform combined with SmartRent’s leading IoT solution creates a seamless work order experience for residents while driving increased operational efficiencies for owners,”
– said Lucas Haldeman, SmartRent CEO.
